the home buying process
After a phone or email conversation, we like to have an initial meeting with our buyers to discuss your housing needs, time frames, and the expectations for our working together. We recommend that you obtain a letter of pre-approval from a lender by this point so you will have an advantage over most other buyers when we present your offer. We can recommend lenders who have helped our other buyers with excellent results.
We will email you new listings in your areas of interest with your outlined parameters, and will call you if a home is particularly of interest. In this market, the best homes go quickly, so being able to be flexible in looking at them is important.
When you find the right home, we will prepare your offer. we will negotiate on your behalf through the entire process.
After you have a mutually signed agreement with a seller, we will assist you in setting up an appointment for a building inspection. You should attend if at all possible and one of us will be there at all times. We will negotiate your building inspection with the seller and then we proceed to closing.
We will always review your closing statement prior to your signing closing papers to make sure the numbers are correct according to the sales contract.
